An Insight Into Life Within a Safehouse

Reaching out to those in need within the community is the cornerstone of what Our Kitchen Table stands for. As many of you know, a major component of our work is to help with the soul nourishment and confidence building of women and children living in safehouse accommodation. Recently a group of Our Kitchen Table volunteers attended a thought-provoking and heartfelt presentation delivered by Anne Mbugua-Jenkins, Manager of the Women’s Liberation Halfway House. It's been a long time coming and we are so happy to finally have the opportunity to share who we are, what we do, news, updates and interesting content, while also offering a place for us to interact with our awesome community.
